The Fredericktown community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Harlie Nicole Albright, who passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, at the age of 17. Born on July 28, 2009, in Trumbull County, Harlie leaves behind a loving family, cherished friends and countless memories that will remain with those who knew her.
Harlie was remembered for her kindness, courage and determination to be the best version of herself. Her obituary describes a young woman who loved God, enjoyed fishing and found joy in running and throwing events in track. She had a spirit that encouraged those around her and a warmth that could brighten a room even during difficult moments.
Family was especially important to Harlie. She is survived by her sisters Avrianna, Josephine and Summer; brothers Dakota, Troy and Zach; aunt Sandra Tkacs; cousin Kayleigh Tkacs; sister-in-law Alex; nieces and nephew Wyatt, Olivia and Baylynn; grandparents James and Sharon Rush; and many other relatives and friends. She was also deeply devoted to her boyfriend, Matthew Miller.
Harlie enjoyed spending time with Matthew, exploring new places and fishing at new lakes. Her faith was another meaningful part of her life, and she looked forward to Sundays with Pastor Deel at Word Church. Those closest to her will remember not only the activities she enjoyed but also the kindness and sweetness she showed to others.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Barbara Tkacs and Helen Albright, and her grandfather Joseph O’Brien.
A celebration of Harlie’s life is scheduled for September 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Highland High School Cafeteria in Marengo, Ohio.
Her family and friends now face the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to someone whose life was far too short. Yet Harlie’s memory will endure through the people she loved, the friendships she formed and the many lives she touched.
